ENERGY🌟MEDICINE
Taurus season is very different from Aries season. Aries season wakes the body up. It activates survival mode, adrenaline, urgency, anger, momentum, and the need to do something now. Taurus season comes after that. It’s what happens when the body has survived long enough that it finally has the space to ask: “Am I actually safe?” That is why Taurus season works so strongly through two particular chakras:
Root Chakra (Muladhara) – safety, stability, trust, nervous system regulation. (learning that safety is not something you earn)
Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) – truth, needs, self-expression, boundaries. (giving yourself permission to say what is real)
Because Taurus energy doesn’t just want you to feel grounded. Taurus energy wants you to feel safe enough to tell the truth. When these two chakras are connected, the body stops bracing and the voice stops hiding. You stop surviving yourself. You stop swallowing what hurts. You stop convincing yourself that your needs are too much. You begin to feel safe enough to live in your body instead of just pushing it through another day.
Root Chakra Activation: Teaching the Body That It’s Safe to Stay
During Taurus season, the Root Chakra is not just about grounding. It’s about nervous system trust. Most people think they are exhausted because they are doing too much. But often, they are exhausted because the body has been living in survival mode for so long that it no longer knows how to relax. The Root Chakra becomes dysregulated when life has taught you that you always have to be prepared, productive, pleasing, useful, hyperaware, or “on.” Taurus season asks you to unlearn that. The body is not failing you. It’s responding to a lifetime of being told that safety had to be earned.
Signs Your Root Chakra Needs Support:
constantly feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or overstimulated
difficulty slowing down or resting without guilt
feeling unsafe when life gets quiet or calm
overworking, overgiving, or staying busy to avoid yourself
lower back pain, hip tension, leg pain, adrenal fatigue, digestive issues, nervous system burnout
Root Chakra Activation Techniques:
Nervous System Grounding Practice
Sit with both feet flat on the floor.
Place one hand on your chest and one hand on your lower belly.
Take a slow breath in for 4 counts.
Hold for 4.
Exhale for 6.
As you breathe, repeat: “I do not have to earn safety. I am allowed to slow down. I am safe in my body now.”
The point is not to force yourself to feel calm. The point is to give your body a new experience of safety.
Slow, Intentional Movement
Taurus season doesn’t want punishing exercise. It wants movement that helps you come back into your body. The medicine is not intensity. It’s presence.
walking slowly outside
stretching the hips and legs
gentle yoga
laying on the ground
dancing slowly to music that feels comforting
Earth Element Ritual
Hold a stone like smoky quartz, black tourmaline, moss agate, or red jasper.
Ask yourself: “What would I stop doing if I truly believed I was safe?”
Write down whatever comes up.
Then ask: “What do I actually need?”
Because the Root Chakra doesn’t heal through pushing harder. It heals when you stop abandoning yourself.
Throat Chakra Activation: Giving Yourself Permission to Tell the Truth
Taurus rules the throat, the jaw, the neck, the thyroid, and the place in the body where truth either gets spoken or swallowed. The Throat Chakra becomes blocked when you have spent too long saying:
“I’m fine”
“It’s okay”
“It doesn’t matter”
“I don’t want to be a burden”
“I don’t want to upset anyone”
Eventually, the body starts carrying the truth that the mouth refuses to say. This is why Taurus season often brings:
jaw clenching or teeth grinding
sore throat or tightness in the throat
neck and shoulder tension
headaches at the base of the skull
difficulty speaking up or setting boundaries
resentment, sadness, frustration, or emotional heaviness
Because what is unspoken doesn’t disappear. It gets stored.
Signs Your Throat Chakra Needs Support:
struggling to ask for what you need
people-pleasing or saying yes when you mean no
feeling misunderstood or invisible
difficulty expressing emotions honestly
fear of conflict, rejection, or disappointing others
The body often tightens around the throat because some part of you still believes that telling the truth is dangerous.
Throat Chakra Activation Techniques:
Truth Practice
Each day during Taurus season, finish this sentence:
“What I really feel is…”
“What I really need is…”
“What I am no longer willing to tolerate is…”
You don’t have to say it to anyone right away, but you do have to stop hiding it from yourself.
Voice Activation
Hum. Sing. Speak out loud. Read something out loud to yourself. The throat chakra heals through vibration. Even saying your own truth quietly in an empty room begins to teach the body that your voice is allowed to exist. Repeat: “My needs are not too much. My truth is not a problem. I am allowed to take up space.”
Throat Chakra Ritual
Light a blue candle.
Write down one thing you have been swallowing, minimizing, avoiding, or pretending does not matter.
Then ask yourself: What am I afraid would happen if I told the truth?
And then ask the deeper question: What is already happening because I haven’t?
Because Taurus season teaches us something that many people were never taught: Keeping the peace is not the same thing as feeling safe.
Tips to Support Taurus Season Energy:
eat grounding, nourishing foods that make the body feel cared for
slow down your schedule instead of constantly rushing
spend time in nature or around trees, gardens, flowers, or the Earth
place a hand on your throat and chest when you feel overwhelmed
notice where you are saying yes when your body means no
choose comfort without guilt
practice receiving without immediately feeling the need to give something back
Taurus season isn’t here to make you more productive. It’s here to teach you that your body is not a machine, your needs are not inconvenient, and your worth doesn’t come from how much you can endure. The real healing this season is learning that you are allowed to feel safe, tell the truth, and stay connected to yourself at the same time.
