Only one day after the major New Moon partial Solar eclipse in Capricorn yesterday, we have Uranus, one of the heavy hitting planets making it's move from a retrograde position back to being direct in Aries.When the inner planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars) make moves, it definitely effects us, but because they move through their orbit so quickly the impact and effects are subtle.When one of the outer planets make a move (Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn or Pluto) we feel it like a ton of bricks. The outer planets have much longer orbits so when they make a move, it changes the general theme, topic, and direction of our lives both individually and globally.Uranus, the planet of sudden change and unexpected events and opportunities, has been in a retrograde position since August. Any time a planet is retrograde it takes the energy of the planet that would normally be projecting its influence outwards and it gets internalized instead.For the past 5 months, we've been seeing sudden and unexpected changes take place within ourselves. Just like that, we were able to make some serious alterations to our belief systems, our spiritual practices and overall we just gained a greater perspective.With Uranus now going direct in Aries, we have only a few weeks of seeing it's outward force onto the world before it makes its leap into Taurus where it will stay for 7 years. 7 YEARS!!!Think back over the last 7-10 years of your life, both individually and globally. Uranus being in Aries is a lot of energy, fire energy, and therefore we seen that take place across the world and within ourselves. Physical fires swept across the land burning communities to the ground. Sparks of inspiration turned out to be huge successes (instagram for instance) and in our own lives, we made serious moves over the past 7 years that may have fizzled out due to the fact that Aries is more about do now and think later.With all this energy being internalized over the last 5 months, we've had our hands tied, not being able to take action or initiative outside of ourselves. We had months of inner changes and now Uranus going direct marks a very pivotal time in our lives where there are no planets in retrograde, not one!All planets are direct, meaning there is huge amounts of power stirring in the cosmos and within us. We have the heavy hitter planets in positions of power with many of them in their ruling signs. And now, after having our karmic events triggered by yesterday's eclipse, we are opening the door for sudden bursts of energy and inspiration to take us to brand new levels in our lives. Things are going to pick up in speed.You may remember me speaking about us being in an accelerated manifestation phase. We are going to see the shifts come to life both within ourselves and in our outer worlds. It will seem very chaotic and slightly overwhelming as we shift through the major events taking place so early on in the year.With an awareness of these events and energies, you should be able to ground yourself and not get too carried away with all the changes that are about to hit us like a mack truck. We need to caution ourselves as we take action, especially when it's closely surrounding the eclipse. I find the energy to be fascinating and can clearly see how it's all happening for our greater good.The best advice I can give you with Uranus now going direct, is to be mindful of your energy. Don't let the shadow side of Aries take control. Be mindful of your anger levels, your irritability, and even your anxiety. Concentrate on yourself as Aries is very much focused on themselves as individuals first, taking actions that promote their betterment.With us being under so much Capricorn energy, we do have this "no time for bullshit" attitude overshadowing us, but we need to remind ourselves that our actions directly effect others as well. Uranus is about freedom and liberation from restriction. With this direct position taking place at the final degrees of Aries before entering into its seven year sleepover in Taurus on March 6, we have to expect sudden shifts in energy and circumstances that will help free ourselves from whatever restriction remains in our lives.Think back to 2010, what huge event started for you? What was the major theme taking place in your life at that time? Because that particular topic and theme is coming to a close when Uranus leaves Aries behind for good. Until then, we have a month and a half to let Uranus guide us through the significant changes we still need to see happen in our lives.These events, good bad or otherwise, will be the catalyst we need for bringing a refreshed new energy to create the beginnings we need in life right now. So after a 5 month sleep, Uranus is waking up and ready to get down to business under this Capricorn influence.
